International Traffic Safety Symposium Overview
The
International Traffic Safety Symposium is set to take place on December 15, 2025, from 14:00 to 16:00 at the
Tokyo Convention Hall. This year's theme focuses on promoting a sustainable and safe mobility environment, particularly in light of the recent Noto Peninsula earthquake recovery efforts.
Founded in 1974, the
International Association of Traffic Safety Science (IATSS) aims to contribute to the creation of an ideal traffic society. The symposium, reflecting on the activities initiated shortly after the
Noto earthquake, will gather experts from various fields within the association to discuss innovative strategies for enhancing mobility safety in the region.
The symposium will not only share proposals based on the
IATSS Vision 2024, which was launched during the association's 50th anniversary but also delve into methods for creating safer mobility environments and sustainable communities. This includes a panel discussion where project members will expand on the proposals, sharing their insights and commitment to the region's recovery.
