Kohler Showcases Luxury Designs at 50th Kips Bay Decorator Show House in New York

Kohler Brings Luxury Design to the Kips Bay Decorator Show House

Kohler is excited to reaffirm its partnership with the iconic Kips Bay Decorator Show House, celebrating its 50th anniversary as the exclusive kitchen and bath collaborator. This year, the event takes place in a historic townhouse located at 20 West 12th Street in Greenwich Village, New York. Open to the public starting September 30, the show house epitomizes five decades of dedication to supporting the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club by raising funds for youth programs.

The venue, a six-story mansion spanning 9,000 square feet, hosts 12 beautifully designed rooms featuring a wide range of Kohler products, providing artists and designers with high-quality and innovative fixtures. Each area is crafted with Kohler's distinct colors and finishes, transforming simple spaces into luxurious showcases. Notably, one can find a stunning teal-colored freestanding cast iron bathtub in the second-floor bathroom and smart toilets equipped for convenience in the fifth-floor suite.

Brittany Canniff Kimball, Senior Marketing Manager at Kohler, expressed pride in supporting such a milestone event, emphasizing how their products empower designers to push the boundaries of creativity and inspire attendees.

Among the talented designers participating are Andrea Schumacher, Tiffany Skilling, Cathy Cherry, and Tom Riker, who have cleverly integrated Kohler’s Heritage Colors like Teal, Aspen Green, and Peachblow into their designs. These historical tones are refreshed for a new generation, along with other stunning products, including the Dune-colored enameled Cast Iron and other unique faucet finishes like French Gold, Brushed Bronze, and Matte Black.

Not just functionality but also efficiency is emphasized in this year’s collaborations. Miami-based designer Tamara Feldman implemented the Anthem™ Smart Shower, which allows users to set specific water temperatures and monitor their water consumption. Meanwhile, Brooklyn's own Leyden Lewis integrated the new Synthos™ Workstation Sink into the third-floor library and kitchenette, which comes with built-in luxury accessories.

Kohler continues to highlight its innovative products within each room, showcasing functional yet fashionable options designed to enhance everyday living and luxurious aesthetics. The Veil™ Smart Toilet selected for the fourth-floor bathroom underscores Kohler’s commitment to advanced technology and user customization. Features like bidet wand options, adjustable water pressure, and personalized temperature settings reflect modern needs and preferences.

Nazira Handal, Director of Special Events and Corporate Partnerships at Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club, reiterated the partnership's significance, attributing the show's success in inspiring guests and raising necessary funds for programs that benefit over 11,000 children in New York City. Since its inception in 1973, the Kips Bay Decorator Show House has garnered millions in donations, making a tangible difference in the community.

Tickets for this year's show house are competitively priced starting at $50 and will be available until October 19. Visitors can enjoy this unique blend of art, design, and philanthropy, experiencing firsthand how Kohler products elevate the aesthetics and functionality of modern interiors.

As a company with a rich century-and-a-half history, Kohler is not only a leader in kitchen and bath design but also embodies a commitment to sustainable practices. The company's portfolio features luxury cabinetry, tile, lighting, wellness products, and hospitality experiences. Kohler’s initiatives also address essential global issues, such as access to clean water and safe sanitation, ensuring a better quality of life for both current and future generations.
