In fact, it is projected that by 2040, approximately 41% of Japan's water pipeline systems will exceed their durability limits. At the same time, the doctor-to-patient ratio can vary drastically between urban and rural settings, leading to fears of a collapse in community healthcare provision.

Globally, the scenario is even graver. A staggering number of individuals—nearly two billion—lack stable access to electricity, resulting in dangerous situations where procedures are conducted in dim lighting and vaccines cannot be safely stored.

Transitioning from Living Infrastructure to Social Infrastructure

Previously, ARTH focused on the development of off-grid units that could serve as alternative sources of living infrastructure. Now, through WEAZER Medical, the company plans to redefine medical facilities as pillars of social infrastructure by integrating cutting-edge DX healthcare solutions with WEAZER's off-grid technology.

This project will contain two main components: a medical facility equipped with state-of-the-art DX healthcare technology and a lodging area focused on wellness and self-care.

In case of emergencies like power outages or water shortages, the lodging area will also function as a refuge, offering stable energy and water supply to community residents.

The project site is well-integrated with ARTH's existing off-grid hotels, WEAZER Nishiwaki and WEAZER Maaji, maximizing the company's accumulated knowledge in hospitality management to provide a high-quality stay experience.
