HACK SONIC: A Gateway to Innovation



Digital Hollywood Inc., a leading institution in IT-related and digital content education, proudly announces the HACK SONIC hackathon. Scheduled to take place from September 5 to September 7, 2025, participants will have the option to join both in-person at the G's Tokyo venue or virtually through Zoom. This event encourages innovative ideas and projects that revolve around the theme of self-realization.

Having gained immense popularity in previous editions, this year's hackathon promises to be even more exciting as Digital Hollywood continues to shape the future of technology through its flagship program, G's Academy. The motto “Technology is Love” captures the spirit of this gathering, and the hackathon serves as a platform for both aspiring entrepreneurs and seasoned engineers to come together for a common purpose.

Who are the Judges?


Four esteemed judges have been selected to evaluate the projects submitted during the hackathon:

1. Taihei Onishi (CEO of Stamen) - With a wealth of experience in IT ventures, Taihei has played a pivotal role in expanding overseas operations and driving corporate strategies. His insights will be essential in assessing the entrepreneurial facet of the projects.

2. Masanori Fujii (Executive Officer at Benesse Corporation) - An expert in education reform and innovative solutions, Masanori brings a unique perspective with his background in social entrepreneurship and AI-driven education.

3. Tomoko Matsuoka (Artist, G's DEV 9th Generation) - Known for integrating science and art, Tomoko's work emphasizes the essence of human will, providing a creative lens to evaluate projects underlying artistic expression.

4. Taro Osugi (Engineer, Chief Instructor at G's FUKUOKA) - Taro has transitioned from leading design and development in medical tech to instructing future tech innovators. His experiences as an engineer will offer a technical critique of the work presented.

The collective experience of these judges ensures a comprehensive evaluation of all submissions, focusing on various interpretations of the self-realization theme.

Event Details


HACK SONIC is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of technology and creativity. The hackathon will adopt a hybrid format, fostering innovation through teamwork and collaboration in a supportive environment. The core objectives for submissions include:
