Calling All Architects: Join The 22nd Registered Architect Audition

The House Inc., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is pleased to announce the commencement of application acceptance for the 22nd 'Registered Architect Audition' starting on December 1, 2025. This audition intends to find qualified architects who have at least three residential design and management projects after becoming independent.

For 25 years, The House has specialized in matching homeowners with architects and builders, supporting over 2,470 home-building projects across the country. A core value of The House is facilitating ideal matches between homeowners and architects to ensure a seamless building experience. Thus, the number of registered architects is limited to 50, and the selection process is meticulously handled.

While The House typically does not accept self-nominations, this year, in a bid to broaden the horizons for outstanding independent architects, we are reverting to a public audition format.

What We Are Looking For

In this 22nd iteration, we are particularly interested in architects who engage in the design and management of either dedicated residential buildings or mixed-use structures. Candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process involving both documentation reviews and interviews, leading to potential incorporation into our registered architect network. We are excited to meet architects who strive to deliver social value through the medium of residential architecture.

Application Requirements

(All criteria must be met)
1. Must possess a first-class architect qualification.
2. Must have a record of designing and supervising at least three dedicated or mixed-use residential buildings after establishing an independent firm.
Note: Projects involving bulk housing or outsourced house manufacturer cases are not eligible.
