Korea Pavilion Achieves Milestone Success at JEC World 2026 with Major Export Deals

Significant Showcase at JEC World 2026

The Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency (Kcarbon), in conjunction with Gyeongsangbuk-do, has wrapped up a highly successful showcase at JEC World 2026, held in Paris. This global exhibition, which ran from March 10 to March 12, is recognized as the largest event dedicated to composites in the world. During this event, the Korea Pavilion effectively highlighted the advancements in Korea's carbon materials and their applications, solidifying the country's position in the international market.

Exhibition Highlights

In total, 12 innovative small and medium-sized enterprises exhibited their expertise in carbon materials and components, showcasing a broad spectrum of high-value materials such as carbon fiber composites, recycled carbon fiber, carbon nanotubes, and graphene. These materials are vital for a range of applications, from thermal management products to electric aircraft batteries, wind turbine components, and water treatment systems.

Participating companies included notable names such as Neomond, Daesung Metal, Daeshin Techgen, VSPACE, Shinsung Materials, CTCM, FRT Robotics, O2NB, Il Sung Composites, Cartech H, and Taerim Industry. They demonstrated capabilities that span from the production of raw materials to the final product stages for various sectors including aerospace, medical devices, and environmental applications. Leveraging advanced manufacturing techniques and reliable production capabilities, they engaged in fruitful discussions with potential buyers from Europe, the Americas, and the Middle East.

Successful Export Contracts

Among the achievements from the JEC World event, Daeshin Techgen and O2NB secured significant export contracts, collectively amounting to $450,000. Daeshin Techgen established supply agreements valued at $300,000 with PBS International and N-Water from the USA for specialized composites and CNT nanofilters. Meanwhile, O2NB marked its entry into the African market by finalizing a $150,000 contract with Kayo Partners in Gabon for water purification systems.

Other companies took advantage of this global platform to explore new business opportunities. For instance, VSPACE introduced their solutions for urban air mobility, FRT Robotics presented their innovative robotic exoskeletons, and Cartech H unveiled advancements in recycled carbon fiber technology. All of these initiatives not only aim to enhance their presence in European markets but are also geared towards strengthening their global partnerships and collaborations.

B2B Meetings and Networking

The Korea Pavilion also created a special Business-to-Business (B2B) meeting zone in collaboration with the Korea Carbon and Nano Industry Association (KCANIA) and the World Federation of Overseas Korean Economic And Trade Associations (OKTA). This initiative was designed to facilitate buyer matching, provide interpretation for technical discussions, and offer onsite assistance to exhibitors to ensure meaningful interactions and business outcomes.

Park Gyu-soon, the Acting President of Kcarbon, expressed his optimism: "JEC World 2026 was an excellent opportunity to showcase the innovative technologies from Korea’s carbon companies to the world. We are committed to identifying opportunities for global partnerships and enhancing the export capabilities of our companies."

Conclusion

The successful conclusion of the Korea Pavilion’s participation at JEC World 2026 underscores Korea's growing competitiveness in the advanced carbon materials sector, marking a significant step towards expanding its influence in the global composites marketplace. The event not only achieved immediate export successes but also laid the groundwork for future collaboration and innovation in the industry.
