Dual Life Partners Launches Innovative Real Estate and Art Project in Shibuya

An Innovative Real Estate and Art Collaboration in Shibuya

In a notable move for urban development, Dual Life Partners, a real estate and financial services firm based in Tokyo's Minato Ward, has officially launched its project combining real estate and art in the vibrant area of Maruyama in Shibuya. This exciting collaboration with artist Shogo Sekine showcases wall seal art and is the first project under their upcoming urban commercial real estate initiative, the DUAL SERIES, set to debut in 2025.

As urban landscapes undergo rapid redevelopment and reconstruction, a fresh challenge has emerged: how to preserve and create the unique cultural and individual identities of cities. Dual Life Partners aims to tackle this issue by revitalizing small-scale commercial properties. They view real estate not merely as physical structures, but as conduits for community identity and human experiences. By integrating art and culture into real estate, they are striving to cultivate the value of property in innovative ways.

The Setting

The chosen locale in Shibuya's Maruyama area is known for its rich blend of culture and creativity, capturing the quintessential charm of Shibuya. The property is conveniently situated within a ten-minute walk from Shibuya station and only three minutes from Shinsen station, yet it nestles into a quieter lane that provides a serene environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Though the property possessed high visibility due to its adjacent parking lot, its potential was largely untapped. Consequently, Dual Life Partners focused not only on the building itself but also on the street-facing walls and unused spaces in the back alleys. This project aims to transform these overlooked areas into memorable experiences for the community.
