Huawei Launches Innovative NG WAN Network to Attract New Clients
Huawei's Revolutionary NG WAN Network
During the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona 2026, Leon Wang, the president of Huawei's Data Communication Product Line, introduced an innovative architecture known as NG WAN. This new network technology is designed to upgrade existing IP networks by enhancing security, resilience, and providing multi-dimensional awareness along with network autonomy. These enhancements are set to help operators not only track and engage new customers but also to elevate their revenue potential.
Introducing NG WAN Architecture
The NG WAN architecture is built to empower internet service providers (ISPs) to significantly improve their operational capabilities. Wang emphasized the modernization of IP networks, highlighting the importance of security and resilience in creating networks that can autonomously protect themselves. By focusing on these areas, Huawei aims to support operators in meeting customer expectations while simultaneously boosting efficiency and enhancing connectivity for smart devices.
Key Features of the NG WAN
Among the standout features introduced, Huawei unveiled the industry-first encrypted traffic identification mechanism called the Xingluo Identification Engine. This mechanism boasts an impressive identification accuracy of over 95% for encrypted traffic streams. Furthermore, the NG WAN architecture comes equipped with a multi-dimensional database to profile user characteristics with up to 90% accuracy, enabling operators to swiftly attract new clients.
Huawei has also developed lossless intelligent computing boards capable of ensuring that the transmission of computing power occurs without packet loss, thus maintaining consistent computational efficiency. By using the lossless Xingluo algorithm, Huawei transforms training and inference data into non-analyzable high-dimensional vectors, safeguarding organizational data while enabling operators to provide differentiated services between training and inference data processing.
Emphasizing Network Security and Resilience
In tackling security vulnerabilities, Huawei presented intelligent security boards that allow devices to detect unusual activities in real-time across files, memory, processes, and traffic flows. These boards rapidly identify and mitigate potential cyberattacks, effectively bolstering defenses against covert surveillance within networks.
To address the critical issue of route hijacking, Huawei introduced an intelligent failover master control board. Utilizing a 40-dimensional knowledge graph, this board dynamically identifies attributes linked to routing addresses and paths, safeguarding against unauthorized disruptions in routing information.
A major advancement highlighted was Huawei's quantum security solution, assisting communication operators in building quantum-protected networks to assure users of complete data leak prevention. The Huawei Xsec solution allows for multi-point dynamic deployment, enabling rapid PQC encryption setup and increasing the efficiency of quantum private line deployments by 60%. Additionally, for operators utilizing QKD routing, Huawei introduced the internal QKD board, the LPUI-Q, which seamlessly integrates with Huawei's NetEngine 8000 series routers, significantly reducing overall investment costs by more than 60%.
Enabling Network Autonomy
Huawei's intelligent OM solution promises comprehensive network protection around the clock. Acting as the network's intelligent brain, the Netmaster facilitates a shift from reactive to proactive operational models. This shift is crucial as it mirrors expert analysis, strategic planning, and execution—essential for modern networks that require constant optimization and maintenance.
Huawei's announcement at MWC Barcelona is not just a leap forward in technology but also a commitment to helping operators navigate the evolving landscape of internet demands, ensuring they remain competitive while attracting and retaining their customer base in an increasingly connected world. By leveraging innovative technologies, Huawei is setting the stage for the future of networking, and the NG WAN is a clear testament to that vision.
