Vantage Foundation Partners with SOS Children's Villages Philippines

On January 31, 2025, the Vantage Foundation proudly announced its partnership with SOS Children's Villages Philippines, a notable NGO dedicated to providing safe, family-based care to children lacking parental support or at risk of being separated from their families.

Founded in 1967, SOS Children's Villages operates a network of comprehensive programs aimed at nurturing vulnerable children and supporting at-risk families. Central to their mission is a family-based care model, which includes placing orphaned children or those whose parents cannot care for them into SOS villages. These villages consist of small family houses each overseen by a SOS mother, offering children the love, attention, and care akin to that of a real family.

Children grow up in these homes alongside their biological siblings (if applicable) and other children, constantly supported by caregivers who serve as role models, providing emotional, educational, and psychological assistance. SOS Children’s Villages strive to ensure that children receive continuous, holistic care from early childhood until they complete their education and transition into adulthood. They empower youth through educational support, vocational training, scholarships, and career counseling, equipping them with the tools necessary to break the cycle of poverty, achieve their dreams, and become future decision-makers and contributors to society.

In January, the Vantage Foundation visited an SOS village in Manila to witness firsthand the impactful work done to support vulnerable children and youth. Steven Xie, Executive Director of the Vantage Foundation, reflected on his experiences by stating, “Seeing the incredible work being done at SOS has reinforced our commitment to supporting initiatives that not only provide care but also give young individuals the opportunity to build a better future.”

Ivy Evangelista, Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager at SOS Children’s Villages Philippines, emphasized the importance of partnerships, saying, “Our collaborations are crucial for expanding our reach and impact. By working alongside organizations such as the Vantage Foundation, we can provide the necessary support to children and youth to help them build a brighter future and escape the cycle of poverty.”
