Renovated Lladró Shop in Nagoya: A New Era of Porcelain Art

April 12 marks the grand reopening of the Lladró Shop at Matsuzakaya Nagoya, where the rich tradition of Spanish porcelain art meets contemporary design. Founded in 1953 in Valencia, Lladró is renowned for its exquisite handcrafted porcelain pieces that reflect the brand's dedication to craftsmanship and quality. The new shop design creates a harmonious space showcasing a vast range of Lladró's lighting collections, figurines, and home decor.

Artistic Collaboration: Mokuren

One of the highlights of the revamped shop is the debut of Mokuren, a collaborative art piece with the celebrated designer Naoto Fukasawa. Inspired by the everlasting bond symbolized by the white magnolia, Mokuren integrates exceptional craftsmanship with innovative design. This piece has gained global acclaim, winning prestigious design awards such as the DNA Paris Design Winner, GRANDS PRIX DU DESIGN Platinum Winner, THE LIT LIGHTING DESIGN AWARD, and the iF Design Award.

Special Exhibition: You Choose One-150

Celebrating the reopening, from April 12 to April 29, the shop will feature a limited-time exhibition of You Choose One-150, a collaboration with prominent Spanish artist Javier Calleja. This unique artwork comprises three pieces: Boy, Devil Cat, and Angel Cat, symbolizing the constant decisions we face in life. Only 150 units are available worldwide, making it a rare collectible.

In addition, customers who purchase goods totaling 55,000 yen or more (including tax) will receive an exclusive tote bag, while supplies last.

New Spring/Summer Collection 2025

The shop will also present the 2025 spring/summer collection, highlighting the Sekku Collection with limited editions like Kabuto (Dragon) and Kabuto (Koi). This collection perfectly encapsulates the essence of Japanese traditions combined with Lladró's unique artistry.
