XCMG Hosts the Global Mining Summit on Zero Carbon Smart Solutions

From August 20 to 22, 2025, XCMG Machinery organized the XCMG Global Mining Summit on Zero Carbon Smart Solutions in Xuzhou and Hulunbuir, China. This prominent event brought together over 200 global clients, industry leaders, and technological pioneers to discuss and display innovations in sustainable mining practices.

The summit's theme, "Solid Innovation for Green Mining," emphasized the urgent need for advancements in green and intelligent mining solutions that align with current industry trends. XCMG showcased its comprehensive, mature solutions that not only include equipment but also real-world application cases and integrated services. This approach positions XCMG as an all-encompassing partner in the industry rather than merely an equipment supplier.

On the first day of the summit, attendees explored XCMG’s latest energy source-network-charge solutions and newly developed energy technologies. More than 80 units of innovative equipment, including both surface and underground mining machinery, were showcased for the first time in operational scenarios. The exhibition featured replaceable battery vehicles, remanufactured components, maintenance tools, and cost-effective solutions throughout the lifecycle of open-pit mining operations, offering clients a comprehensive acquisition plan.

The second day culminated in a gathering of influential figures from the mining sector, technology leaders, and academics from over 30 countries in Hulunbuir. This session focused on strategies to enhance safety, profitability, and reduce carbon emissions in mining operations. Using the Yimin open-pit mine as a case study, XCMG presented its complete chain of zero-emission intelligent mining solutions. Key highlights included the ZNK95, an all-electric unmanned mining truck, marking a global first in fully autonomous electric mining equipment. Additionally, an innovative collaborative operation system manages the coordination of sprinklers, loaders, graders, and trucks, significantly boosting operational efficiency.

XCMG’s extensive portfolio of new energy mining equipment encompasses the entire workflow from drilling, excavation, transportation, and crushing to auxiliary tasks. This includes comprehensive solutions that integrate batteries, motors, control components, and green energy infrastructure for wind and solar-powered charging and storage solutions.

At the summit, XCMG also published the first-ever "Joint Declaration on Global Intelligent Zero Carbon Mining" in collaboration with 107 companies from 26 countries, aiming to collectively contribute to sustainable low-carbon development worldwide. This declaration addresses 12 critical areas, including electrification, automation, unmanned operations, net zero emissions, a circular economy, technology exchange, international cooperation, smart operation and maintenance, and more.

During the summit's panel discussion, Shan Zenghai, XCMG's Vice President and Chief Engineer, shared insights on new energy supply chains, advanced energy equipment, and unmanned operation solutions, offering a roadmap for best practices in achieving zero-carbon intelligent mining. XCMG, a global leader in zero-carbon intelligent mining solutions, is committed to overcoming industry challenges by integrating new energy equipment, intelligent control systems, and comprehensive lifecycle services. With a focus on energy infrastructure, new energy equipment portfolios, intelligent mining management systems, and financial support, XCMG aims to help clients achieve both business growth and environmental benefits. Yang Dongsheng, President and CEO of XCMG, remarked, “Our dedication is towards ensuring that advancements in mining not only drive profitability but also contribute positively to our environment.”

The summit undoubtedly marked a significant step in the ongoing dialogue about sustainable practices in the mining industry, highlighting the crucial role of innovation and cooperation in transcending traditional practices and moving toward a greener future.
