In a significant move to improve home health care services, Three S Co., a company specializing in home care solutions, has entered into a strategic partnership with Shizuoka Gas Living, a subsidiary of Shizuoka Gas Group. This collaboration was supported by HIRAC FUND, which is managed by Money Forward Ventures Partners, a group company of Money Forward. Beginning in July 2025, the new service, named ‘Shizu Care Home,’ will offer regular and on-demand in-home nursing care and support to elderly residents in Shizuoka City.

The primary focus of the Shizu Care Home service is to provide reliable and compassionate in-home support for elderly residents. Three S Co. is responsible for delivering essential caregiving expertise, while Shizuoka Gas Living will oversee the operational aspects of the service. The launch of the service is slated for October 2025, coinciding with the establishment of a new business site in Shizuoka City, with plans to expand services gradually.

Key Services Offered

1. Regular Visits: Consistent check-ins at the homes of clients, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation.
2. On-Demand Care: A dedicated operator will manage phone requests from clients and arrange services according to their needs.
3. Emergency Visits: Quick response visits to clients' homes based on operator requests to provide immediate support.
4. Nursing Care: Collaboration with nursing agencies to ensure health-related assistance and support for clients in their homes.

Understanding the On-Demand Home Care Model

The concept of “regular and on-demand home care” was introduced in 2012 as a 24-hour in-home support service. This model is designed to allow those requiring assistance to remain safely in their familiar surroundings, with caregiving staff and nurses conducting multiple daily visits. These visits are typically brief, lasting about 20 to 30 minutes, covering essential physical care such as help with using the restroom or meal assistance. The arrangement includes 24-hour availability, ensuring immediate response for urgent cases, thus alleviating the burden on caregivers and their families.

Background of the Strategic Partnership

Since 2019, Three S has been dedicated to enhancing home living options for elderly individuals, launching regular caregiving initiatives and developing a specialized SaaS platform called ‘PORTALL.’ Concurrently, Shizuoka Gas Group has been proactive in promoting elder care activities, initiating programs such as the ‘Shizuoka Den Den Exercise’ aimed at preventing elderly care needs.

In 2023, HIRAC FUND invested in Three S, and Shizuoka Gas also participated as a limited partner in the second fund round. The collaboration between the two companies aims to strengthen their community impact and enhance relationships with key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
