Guthrie's Chicken Expands, Bringing Iconic Flavors to the Carolinas in 2025
Guthrie's Chicken Expands into the Carolinas
Guthrie's, recognized as the pioneer of chicken finger restaurants, has announced an exciting expansion plan to bring its popular offerings to the Carolinas, with the first location scheduled to open in Lexington, South Carolina in 2025. This significant move marks another chapter in Guthrie's more than 40-year history, cementing its commitment to delivering delicious, quality food and Southern hospitality.
The new Lexington restaurant will open at 2404 Mineral Springs Road, effectively establishing the brand's footprint in the Carolinas. Officials from Guthrie's have indicated that additional locations in both North and South Carolina are expected to follow later in the year, creating numerous job opportunities for local residents. The Lexington site alone is projected to add approximately 50 jobs to the community, reflecting Guthrie's dedication not only to food quality but also to local community engagement.
Guthrie's has long been celebrated for its signature menu that centers exclusively around chicken fingers. This innovative menu approach paved the way for a new dining concept in the fast-food sector when the restaurant was founded in Haleyville, Alabama in 1965. The brand has continued to build its reputation on serving hot, freshly cooked chicken fingers accompanied by crinkle-cut fries, homemade coleslaw, Texas toast, and the unique Guthrie's Signature Sauce—a recipe that has yet to be replicated despite many attempts.
