Huawei Unveils Updated Stellar Intelligent Fabric for European Market at HNS 2026

Huawei Unveils Stellar Intelligent Fabric at HNS 2026

On October 20, 2026, industry leaders gathered in Florence, Italy for the Huawei Network Summit 2026 Europe (HNS 2026) to discuss groundbreaking developments in data center network technology. One of the key highlights of the summit was Huawei's introduction of the updated Stellar Intelligent Fabric, designed for the European market. This innovative solution aims to empower businesses by providing robust and highly efficient open data center networks that are both resilient and adaptable.

Emphasizing Resilience and Intelligence

Huawei's Vice Director of European ICT Marketing, Bingyu Zhou, opened the event by discussing the profound impact of intelligent technologies on global economic sectors over the next decade. Zhou emphasized that the next-generation open data center networks would be built on the principles of resilience and intelligence. By leveraging hyper-scalable infrastructures, high bandwidth, automated operations, and energy efficiency, Huawei’s solutions are positioned to support Europe’s ecological strategy and industry digitization efforts.

In line with its commitment to European innovation, Huawei is working closely with regional partners to develop an open network infrastructure that meets the contemporary demands of data centers.

Addressing Complexities in Data Centers

Johnny Cheng, Vice President of the Data Center Product Line at Huawei, highlighted the challenges faced due to the exponential growth in the size and complexity of data centers. He noted that these growths place significant strains on operational processes, complicating the continuity of service availability. In response, Huawei presented the Stellar Intelligent Ultra-Resilient Fabric—an advanced networking solution that enhances reliability and eliminates single points of failure. With new technologies like StarryWing Digital Map 2.0 and Rock-Solid Architecture 2.0, this solution forms an intelligent open networking fabric that safeguards critical operations.

Successful Implementations and Innovations

Project leader Mesut ÖZCA from KoçSistem shared insights into their successful collaboration with Huawei that modernized their data center infrastructure. By utilizing the StarryWing Digital Map, they achieved an expansive network topology across various data centers, enabling automatic recovery and continuous availability of computing services even during local hardware failures.

Aldo Artigiani, a technical representative from OEHI, addressed the significance of artificial intelligence in ushering in a new era of technological capability, which relies on a solid AI infrastructure. He urged industry stakeholders to support the development of open Ethernet standards to promote innovation in AI and high-performance computing (HPC).

A Vision for the Future

Looking ahead, Huawei reaffirms its commitment to fostering open cooperation and technological innovations across Europe. By strengthening partnerships, Huawei aims to refine data center network architectures that not only catalyze digital transformation for businesses but also drive sustainable growth in the digital economy.

As the technological landscape evolves, Huawei is at the forefront of building resilient infrastructures that are essential for modern enterprises, ensuring they are equipped to meet the demands of the future. The Stellar Intelligent Fabric is a testament to Huawei’s vision of a smarter, resilient, and interconnected world.
