Temu and APDC Join Forces to Enhance Digital Commerce for Portuguese Companies

Strengthening Digital Commerce in Portugal

In an exciting development for the Portuguese digital marketplace, global e-commerce platform Temu has teamed up with the Portuguese Association for the Development of Communications (APDC). This partnership, announced on July 22, 2026, intends to bolster the dialogue around digital commerce and facilitate knowledge sharing among local businesses and stakeholders.

A Commitment to Digital Transformation

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Temu will integrate into APDC’s extensive network, which comprises businesses, public institutions, and industry experts dedicated to Portugal's digital advancement. This collaboration aims to exchange insights on the rapidly evolving e-commerce landscape, focusing on both the potential opportunities and responsibilities that come with digital marketplaces.

Sandra Fazenda Almeida, APDC's Executive Director, emphasized the power of innovation through collaboration, stating, "At APDC, we believe innovation is at its strongest when it is shared. We are delighted to welcome Temu and are confident that this partnership will foster a more collaborative, innovative, and transformative digital ecosystem."

Enhancing Business Engagement

As part of their collaboration, Temu will become an institutional member of APDC, actively participating in association activities and industry dialogues. The two organizations will collaborate on various initiatives aimed at knowledge exchange and fostering new business opportunities. APDC is set to disseminate valuable information to its members who are keen to explore online marketplace options. In return, Temu will offer onboarding resources, marketplace expertise, and access to essential local business support systems.

Among the initiatives planned is a dedicated online thought-leadership session hosted by APDC. This session will bring together various stakeholders in the e-commerce field to discuss prevailing trends, regulatory updates, and their implications for Portuguese businesses. Temu will play a significant role by sharing its market experiences and supporting discussions around how online marketplaces can further aid in digitizing these local enterprises.

Engagement with Local Businesses

A spokesperson from Temu expressed enthusiasm about engaging with local stakeholders, stating, "Through our cooperation with APDC, we will connect with local businesses and other parties in Portugal to share insights and better understand local priorities. We aim for these interactions to contribute positively to the responsible development of the European digital economy."

Temu has made considerable strides since entering the Portuguese market in 2023, actively engaging with both consumers and local businesses. The platform has recently received acclaim as a 2026 Recommended Brand by Portal da Queixa due to positive consumer feedback. In a further commitment to strengthening its local presence, Temu signed another MoU with CTT Correios de Portugal in December 2025 to enhance logistics support for local sellers throughout Europe.

Temu stands as a global e-commerce connection between consumers and millions of manufacturers and businesses.
