Special Online Career Fair for Tokai Area Students Set for June 5

Special Online Career Fair for Tokai Students

OneCareer, a prominent job-hunting support service based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is partnering with Meitele, a broadcasting company in Nagoya, to host a special online career fair tailored for students from the Tokai region. This event, titled "Tokai Online Career Fair: Local or Not? Making Sound Choices with Insights from Seniors," will take place on June 5, 2026, via OneCareer’s YouTube channel.

A Diverse Landscape of Employment

As the job market evolves, many students are finding themselves in a dilemma: should they work locally in their hometown or venture elsewhere? This question has become paramount amid the rise of freelance work, entrepreneurship, and remote job opportunities.

Students preparing for internships often confront this dilemma, especially as hiring seasons begin to shift earlier. The summer vacation period provides a crucial time for students to ponder where they want to work, making this event timely and relevant for those engaged in job hunting.

In collaboration with Meitele, OneCareer aims to create an environment where students can thoroughly reflect on their future careers during the lead-up to summer. This three-year running event allows local and national companies to come together and offer students an opportunity to gather valuable information for making regret-free career decisions.

Highlights of the Tokai Online Career Fair

This event will delve into the critical topic of whether students should choose to work in the Tokai region or in different areas, supporting students in forming a solid basis for their career choices.

Engaging Sessions with Industry Professionals

A total of 18 companies from both local and national sectors will provide insights through presentations featuring seasoned employees. They will share their personal journeys, detailing the decisions that shaped their careers.

1. Comparative Insights Across Three Companies
Each session will feature three current employees from diverse sectors such as manufacturing, IT, media, and infrastructure, allowing students to compare their options concurrently and make informed decisions about their career paths.

2. Unique Non-academic Programs
With OneCareer’s extensive experience supporting over one million job hunters, the collaboration with Meitele will introduce exclusive discussion themes, exploring the nuances behind senior employees’ decision-making processes and their experiences after joining their companies.

3. Interactive Participation
The fair will be livestreamed on YouTube, allowing attendees to join without the need for a camera or microphone. Students can freely enter and exit the stream, making it accessible for those living in the Tokai area as well as students who have relocated for their studies but remain interested in working in the Tokai region.
