On August 23, 2025, Step Golf Corporation, the largest indoor golf school in Japan, hosted its first-ever night golf event named "Step Golf Hiroshima Night Golf Round." This remarkable event took place at the East Hiroshima Country Club, bringing together five Step Golf locations in the Hiroshima area under one roof.

With a total of 696 indoor golf bays and a projected membership exceeding 100,000 by the end of the year (currently at 97,015), Step Golf has carved out a niche as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts. The decision to host a night golf event stemmed from the stark needs of the members, especially during the sweltering summer months when many outdoor activities came to a halt due to extreme heat. Organizers introduced this unique nighttime activity to allow members to experience their indoor training on real courses in a fun and refreshing environment.

The East Hiroshima Country Club, which initiated night golfing operations in April of the same year, collaborated to make this extraordinary event a reality. Participants expressed their delight, commenting on the unexpected advantages of playing at night: "I appreciated being able to play without worrying about sunburn," one member said. Another noted, "The heat was noticeably lighter and we enjoyed ourselves immensely," highlighting the drop in temperature from a sweltering 34℃ during the day to a pleasant 28℃ by 6 PM, eventually cooling to around 26℃ by 10:30 PM.

A representative from the East Hiroshima Country Club shared insights about the allure of night golfing. "The excitement of playing under lights creates a magical atmosphere that can’t be matched. Our state-of-the-art LED lighting provides a brighter environment than traditional night golf, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the play. The visual appeal is fantastic, with no worries about UV rays during the cooler evening hours, making it suitable for women and younger players too. Plus, it's a perfect way to wind down after work!" This atmosphere led to a large attendance and positive feedback from newcomers and seasoned golfers alike.
