D-Robotics Secures $400 Million Series C Funding
D-Robotics, a premier provider of robotics development infrastructure, has announced a significant milestone by completing a Series C funding round amounting to $400 million. This funding is poised to accelerate the company's innovation within the robotics sector and further enhance their product offerings, which are crucial for the continued growth of the robotics industry.
The recent funding attracted strategic investments from a leading global internet corporation, alongside several top-tier investment institutions. Noteworthy is the continued support from existing shareholders, indicating a strong confidence in D-Robotics' vision and market potential.
This capital acquisition aims to expand the
Sunrise™ Chip portfolio across various computing levels. It will also help develop a comprehensive software platform that embraces the entire robot development lifecycle. Together, these initiatives promise to form a fully integrated infrastructure that combines hardware and software for AI-driven robots. This infrastructure is adaptable to a wide range of development scenarios from established robot categories to general-purpose humanoid robots.
In the first half of 2026, D-Robotics experienced a remarkable growth pattern; revenues surged year-over-year, with accumulated shipments of the
Sunrise™ series chips surpassing 8 million units. The company's AI-integrated business in physical systems transitioned into mass production, and its AI infrastructure—integrating both hardware and software—successfully completed large-scale validation tests.
Highlighting recent advancements, the
Sunrise™ S600 chip, designed for AI applications in physical environments, has gained traction with more than 20 leading clients in just six months since its launch in November 2025. Notable partners include TARS, Spirit AI, X Square Robot, UBTECH, PaXini Tech, Astribot, FOURIER, and Booster Robotics. These collaborators span various fields, including humanoid robotics, wheeled industrial robots, flexible consumer electronics manufacturing, foundational physical AI models, and omnimodal perception, most of whom are now in mass production.
Moreover, the
D-Robotics Gravity Program (DGP) has been revamped to offer comprehensive support to robotics innovators. The program covers everything from product development to supply chain selection and market entry strategies. To date, it has backed over 500 innovators across ten pioneering categories—such as open-source humanoid robots, AI-based sports training systems, corporeal AI models, AI-driven imagers, and home companion robots—enabling successful product launches that are now achieving market success.
Currently, D-Robotics serves a vibrant ecosystem: more than 500 universities and 100,000 developers across over 20 countries have created hundreds of intelligent robots utilizing D-Robotics' platform, catering to millions of users worldwide.
