Cheez-It Court Set to Bring Y2K Nostalgia to LA with Unique Food Creations

Cheez-It Court Takes Over Los Angeles for a Month-Long Pop-Up

This September, the beloved snack brand Cheez-It is transforming food culture in Los Angeles with the much-anticipated launch of the Cheez-It Court, a unique food stall at the Westfield Topanga Mall. In a collaboration with Chain, the pop cuisine innovator founded by B.J. Novak, Cheez-It is embracing 2000s nostalgia, aiming to revive the classic mall dining experience.

A Taste of Nostalgia

Opening its doors from September 2 to September 30, the Cheez-It Court will feature a limited-time menu showcasing three reimagined staples that resonate with those who grew up in the era of butterfly clips and frosted hair tips. The menu includes three distinct dishes:

1. Cheez-Y-Bun – A delightful mix of sweet and savory, featuring a warm cinnamon roll topped with a rich Cheez-It Extra Cheesy cream cheese frosting, adorned with shortbread crumble and crunchy Cheez-It bits. This treat is bound to tantalize taste buds while providing a nostalgic twist.

2. Crunchy Cheez-Dog – Inspired by the viral Korean corn dog sensation, this dish wraps a premium Wagyu hot dog in a crispy panko and Cheez-It cracker crust. It’s finished with ribbons of mustard and ketchup, pickle slices, and an extra seasoning dusting, ensuring every bite is bursting with cheesy goodness.

3. Cheez-Steak – A Cheez-It take on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this sandwich includes tender ribeye, melty American cheese, grilled onions, and pickled jalapeños, all stacked on a Cheez-It Extra Cheesy hoagie roll, complemented by a creamy dill aioli.

These innovative offerings promise to deliver an unforgettable experience that combines beloved flavors with a playful new spin.

Creating Memorable Experiences

Nicole Sorensen, VP of Marketing for Cheez-It, shares, “Following fan experiences like Studio Cheez and the Cheez-In Diner, we are excited to fuel unforgettable snack moments with experiences that highlight the versatility of Cheez-It crackers. The Cheez-It Court not only serves delectable snacks but also transforms into a gathering space for friends and family.”

The pop-up stall aims to provide a vibrant social atmosphere, capturing the essence of mall culture that many enjoyed in their youth. The nostalgic design elements – from colorful cracker-themed counters to throwback-inspired staff uniforms – add to the ambiance, set to attract a diverse crowd.
