United Airlines Partners with Chef's Table for Exceptional New Inflight Dining Experience
United Airlines Partners with Chef's Table for Unique Inflight Meals
United Airlines is set to elevate its inflight dining experience through an exciting collaboration with Chef's Table, the celebrated brand behind the Emmy Award-winning Netflix series. Starting August 1, travelers in the United Polaris® international business class will be treated to a selection of ten exclusive meal experiences designed by eleven acclaimed chefs from around the globe.
The initiative comes as a response to United's extensive reach, connecting passengers with culinary gems from major cities like Chicago, Los Angeles, London, and Tokyo. These dishes are crafted to reflect the rich culinary heritage and regional flavors of these diverse locations. Andrew Nocella, Chief Commercial Officer of United Airlines, emphasized that this partnership exemplifies the airline's commitment to providing exceptional dining experiences that rival top-tier restaurants.
A Taste of the World at 35,000 Feet
The chefs involved in this project are true culinary pioneers, each bringing their unique backgrounds and expertise to the table. For instance, Nancy Silverton, a James Beard Award-winning chef and the co-owner of the Michelin-starred Osteria Mozza in Los Angeles, is renowned for her passion for Italian cuisine. Meanwhile, Fariyal Abdullahi, the Executive Chef of Hav Mar in New York, skillfully blends her Ethiopian heritage with European techniques to create distinct flavors in her dishes.
Chef Manu Buffara, known for her innovative Brazilian cuisine at her restaurant in São Paulo, and Jenner Tomaska, co-owner of the Michelin-starred Esmé in Chicago, are also among the notable talents contributing to this culinary adventure. Their menus promise to deliver a comprehensive meal experience, comprising an appetizer, salad, and entrée.
The list of participating chefs also features Justin Yu from Theodore Rex in Houston, Penelope Wong from Yuan Wonton in Denver, and David Barzelay from Lazy Bear in San Francisco, whose mastery in American fine dining is well recognized. Furthermore, chefs Isabel Coss and Matt Conroy from the Michelin-starred Lutèce in Washington, D.C., and Tomos Parry, owner of Mountain and Brat in London, alongside Tashi Gyamtso, head chef of Jimgu in Tokyo, round out the exceptional lineup.
