Create Lasting Memories at InterContinental Tokyo Bay's Summer Family Experience Events
This summer, the InterContinental Tokyo Bay is excited to offer a series of family experience events designed to entertain and educate both parents and children. With dates set throughout late July and August 2026, activities will include table manners classes, cooking courses, and the delightful Little Patisserie experience.
Family Table Manners Class
The Family Table Manners Class, held at the hotel's renowned fine dining restaurant La Provence, invites families to learn the art of dining etiquette in a fun and relaxed environment. Under the guidance of Akihiro Shoji, the restaurant's manager and sommelier, participants will explore various aspects of table manners, from the history of dining etiquette to practical exercises like using cutlery correctly and table setting. Engaging quizzes will enhance the learning experience, making it enjoyable for both kids and adults alike.

Next up, the Family Cooking Class gives families a chance to dive into the world of Italian cuisine. Under the expert supervision of Chef Yohei Abe from the Italian dining venue Gillion, families will learn to make fresh mozzarella cheese and delicious desserts, including authentic tiramisu. In collaboration with Fresh Cheese Studio, participants will create their own mozzarella and enjoy a flavorful Italian course meal featuring the dishes they've prepared. Each child will also leave with a special souvenir: a burrata cheese from Fresh Cheese Studio.

The Little Patisserie experience is a highlight for young chefs eager to learn the craft of cake-making. Under the tutelage of Executive Chef Patissier Shoya Nagai, children will create their own hotel-quality shortcakes. Participants will receive hands-on training in important techniques like whipping cream and decorating with fresh strawberries and colorful meringues. Each child will also get a personalized icing cookie to take home. Families can enjoy the cakes made by their young chefs afterward.
