Subgate Showcases Next-Generation Wire Rope Safety Solution at Maintenance Resilience 2026

Subgate Showcases AIOTION WSS at Maintenance Resilience 2026

Subgate Corporation, headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, is set to participate in the Maintenance Resilience 2026 exhibition, which will take place from July 15 to 17, 2026, at Tokyo Big Sight. The company will unveil its next-generation wire rope safety diagnosis solution, AIOTION WSS. This innovative system, developed by South Korea's NKIA Co., integrates Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technology, AI analysis, and cloud management to visualize internal faults and corrosion in wire ropes that traditional visual inspections often miss.

Wire rope accidents frequently occur due to hidden internal issues, such as breaks and corrosion, that are not visible from the outside. On-site inspectors face several challenges, including:
  • - No visible external anomalies
  • - Inability to directly check internal conditions
  • - Dependence on the results from inspectors' experience or skills

The AIOTION WSS addresses these problems by employing non-destructive testing to measure the internal conditions of wire ropes and by utilizing AI analysis to detect signs of abnormalities early on. This leads to the realization of a concept to "visualize unseen internal defects with data."

Furthermore, AIOTION WSS aims to transition from an inspection-based safety model to a data-driven safety approach. By combining non-destructive testing (MFL technology), AI analysis, and cloud management, it empowers a shift from traditional periodic inspections to condition-based maintenance (CBM).

At Subgate's exhibition booth, attendees will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations of AIOTION WSS, showcasing the comprehensive process from detecting internal defects to AI analysis and cloud monitoring. The company will also present applications across various industries, including:
  • - Manufacturing equipment
  • - Port facilities
  • - Construction equipment
  • - Aerial tramway equipment

Additionally, Subgate is prepared to discuss Proof of Concept (PoC) implementations and provide guidance on product adoption. This exhibition marks the first major showing since the introduction of AIOTION WSS to the Japanese market.

As the exclusive distributor in Japan, Subgate is committed to advancing the safety management of wire ropes by offering product supply, cloud services, and maintenance support. To broaden its reach in the Japanese market, Subgate is proactively building collaborations with sales partners, implementation partners, and companies for PoC experiments.
