Remixpoint's Strategic Move to Strengthen Energy Sector with NC Pioneer Subsidiary Acquisition

Remixpoint Enhances Energy Portfolio with NC Pioneer Acquisition

Remixpoint Inc., a listed company on the Tokyo Standard Market, has made a significant move in the energy sector by announcing the consolidation of NC Pioneer as a consolidated subsidiary effective December 1, 2025. This decision was taken during a board meeting today and is poised to strengthen Remixpoint's presence and operational capacity in the energy storage market, particularly focusing on system-based storage batteries.

Strategic Importance of the Acquisition

In recent years, the demand for renewable energy has surged, necessitating the stabilization of power systems through the deployment of energy storage solutions. System-based storage batteries have emerged as critical assets for balancing power generation variations, especially as the integration of renewable energy sources accelerates. Recognizing this market trend, Remixpoint acknowledges the continued growth potential of the energy storage sector, particularly in response to the expanding needs for electricity supply-demand adjustments and the development of electricity market systems.

By consolidating NC Pioneer, which specializes in the acquisition, development, ownership, and operation of system-based storage batteries, Remixpoint intends to enhance its operational framework and extract synergistic benefits within its energy-related business ventures. This move allows Remixpoint to transition from passive profit sharing through anonymous partnerships to a more proactive approach, where revenues will now be reflected directly in the consolidated financial statements as sales and operating income.

Overview of NC Pioneer and Energy Storage Facilities

NC Pioneer is headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo, and is focused on managing system-based storage batteries across various locations in Japan. The company, capitalized at 100,000 yen, operates as a crucial partner in Remixpoint's broader energy strategy. This partnership aligns with Remixpoint's ongoing commitment to amplify its development efforts in system-based storage battery facilities, a project currently in collaboration with Japan Storage Battery Co., Ltd.

With NC Pioneer now a part of Remixpoint's consolidated structure, the ownership and operational responsibilities of seven existing system-based storage battery facilities will also transfer to Remixpoint. This consolidation not only fortifies Remixpoint's assets but also positions the company to tap into new revenue generation avenues through enhanced operational control.

Future Outlook and Market Expansion

Remixpoint's mid-term management plan targets the development of 32 high-voltage system-based storage facilities by March 2029. Bringing NC Pioneer into the fold aligns with this goal, increasing Remixpoint's potential to house a total of 11 system-based storage facilities. In an ever-expanding energy storage market, Remixpoint is poised to evolve beyond mere asset ownership to become a key player in energy supply and sustainability, focusing on development, ownership, operations, and asset management.

This strategic move aims to accelerate the growth of Remixpoint's storage battery business, thereby enhancing the overall corporate and shareholder value in the long term. With NC Pioneer fully integrated, Remixpoint expects to more accurately measure its income contributions from the storage battery segment, now projecting revenues of 506 million yen and operating profits of 288 million yen within the current reporting cycle.

Ongoing efforts to align financial disclosures with operational changes will be prioritized, ensuring stakeholders remain informed as Remixpoint advances its strategic initiatives within the energizing landscape of sustainable energy solutions. As Remixpoint continues its work towards a decarbonized society, the integration of NC Pioneer exemplifies the company's commitment to fostering sustainable energy practices and creating long-term value for its shareholders.
