HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League CS2 Tournament Kicks Off

The HERO ESPORTS Asian Champions League (ACL) CS2 Tournament has officially commenced today at the Yancheng International Convention and Exhibition Center. This highly anticipated event sees eight promising teams competing for a coveted spot in the upcoming Grand Finals in Shanghai, as well as a share of the impressive $300,000 prize pool.

Competition Structure

After an intensive selection process featuring 32 teams hailing from various Chinese cities, the following squads have emerged as finalists: Change The Game, Exusiai, FiveHandsomeGuys, Gateron, PA BEER, Reverse Sweep Gaming, DK ESPORT, and TEAM XDM. These teams will engage in various high-stakes matches from April 10 to May 11, culminating in a global spectacle that showcases both grassroots talent and established Asian teams.

Key Stages and Format

The tournament unfolds in a sequence of rigorous stages:
  • - Open Qualifier (China) Rookie Advanced Stage (April 10–13): In this round, the eight teams will face off in a double-elimination format, paving the way for five squads to advance to the Closed Qualifier. Matches will be conducted in a best-of-three format to ensure thrilling gameplay.
  • - Closed Qualifier (Asia) (April 17–27): This stage will see the five qualifiers join 11 invited teams, including top-tier competitors like RA, representing China's elite, and other leading squads ranked 5–16 in CS2 Asia rankings. Again, the double-elimination format will guide this competitive phase, with only four teams proceeding to the playoffs.
  • - Playoffs (May 6–11): The final stage will feature intense competition among the four qualifiers and invited teams such as TYLOO (China), LVG (China), FlyQuest (Australia), and The Huns (Mongolia). With matches structured in a best-of-three series, only two teams will earn their ticket to the ACL Grand Finals in Shanghai.

Global Outreach and Commentary

With a global broadcasting strategy, the tournament aims to reach fans internationally through platforms like Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Viewers can expect expert commentary from renowned esports analysts such as Veracity, TeaTime, YouM3, and Ne0kai, adding depth to the thrilling matches.
