Event Overview

The festival, titled '2026 THE AWAODORI – Prelude – Tokushima's Spirit Dances in Shibuya', is collaboratively organized by Japan Digital Distribution Co., Ltd. (JDS), Tokushima Cable Television Co., and the Awaodori Future Committee. Tickets for this much-anticipated event are available starting April 18, 2026. Cultural Experience

This event serves a dual purpose: not only will it showcase the impressive performances of selected dance teams from the Tokushima Awaodori Promotion Association, but it will also position Shibuya as a significant cultural hub, encouraging new fans to embrace the traditional Awaodori dance.

On the day of the festival, attendees can enjoy live dance performances from leading teams, including those from the well-respected Tokyo Koenji Awa Odori and Minami Koshigaya Awa Odori. The celebration promises to be a vibrant mix of performances and a regional fair, presenting various local products from Tokushima.
