Cheese Garden to Showcase Unique Cheese Sweets at GREEN×EXPO 2027 in Yokohama

Cheese Garden to Participate in GREEN×EXPO 2027

Cheese Garden, a renowned cheese snack specialty store operated by Kuraya Co., Ltd. in Nasu, Tochigi, has officially announced its participation in the upcoming 2027 International Garden and Greenery Exposition, also known as GREEN×EXPO 2027, which will be held in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, starting from March 19, 2027. This event marks Japan's first domestic A1-class international horticultural exposition in over 37 years since the Osaka Flower Expo in 1990.

The theme of GREEN×EXPO 2027 is about "Creating Tomorrow’s Landscape of Happiness," focusing on promoting sustainable communities and economies, while addressing various social challenges on both national and international fronts. It aims to be a platform for sharing rich cultural experiences with visitors from all over the world.

As part of the expo, Cheese Garden will operate a café space that resonates with the expo's theme, presenting not only delectable cheese sweets but also a unique ambiance that embodies the spirit of connection between nature and urban spaces. The café will be designed to provide a relaxing environment that offers visitors a taste of “comfortably close to nature,” a philosophy nurtured since the inception of their main store in Nasu.

Cheese Garden, established in August 1994, has dedicated itself to developing and selling a variety of cheese-based sweets. With a mission to deliver warm and happy times through their products, their signature offerings, including the Goyotei Cheesecake and an array of baked goods such as cheese cookies and galette cheese, will be available. Additionally, Cheese Garden offers an original blended tea called TeCha and has demonstrated a commitment to expanding its presence not just in Tochigi Prefecture but also across Hokkaido, Miyagi, Gunma, Saitama, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Chiba, Niigata, Toyama, Ishikawa, Aichi, and Osaka, operating some locations as cafés to enhance the customer experience.

The café at GREEN×EXPO 2027 will align with one of the expo's guiding principles: the promotion of floral and greenery culture. Cheese Garden aims to embody this philosophy through its offerings, providing visitors with a comforting experience through their delightful sweets while showcasing the beauty of cheese.

By participating in this esteemed event, Cheese Garden is excited to create new experiences through their products, fostering not only a delightful culinary adventure but also contributing to the overarching goals of green awareness and ecological sustainability.
