Experience the Fascinating World of Egyptian Pharaohs in South Florida

Dive into the Mystical World of Egyptian Pharaohs

South Florida PBS is thrilled to present the United States' debut of the critically acclaimed immersive exhibition, Egyptian Pharaohs: From Cheops to Ramses II. This groundbreaking experience opens its doors on October 3, 2025, at the South Florida PBS studios in Boynton Beach, inviting visitors to explore the wonders of Ancient Egypt like never before.

This immersive project follows the success of the previous exhibition, Da Vinci – An Immersive Experience, which impressed audiences in the region. As visitors enter the venue, they will embark on a multisensory journey through ancient history, utilizing cutting-edge technology and stunning visual effects to bring to life the rich tapestry of Egyptian civilization.

A Journey Through Time

The exhibit has been developed in collaboration with expert Egyptologists and features masterpieces of ancient art alongside innovative 3D reconstructions crafted by Ubisoft. Visitors will begin their journey as grains of sand swept by desert winds unveil the remnants of a civilization long lost, evoking the sentiments captured by the 19th-century painter David Roberts. His famous words, "We are a people of dwarfs visiting a nation of giants," resonate deeply as attendees proceed through the exhibit.

The experience allows participants to witness the very genesis of Egyptian civilization, revealing the sacred forces of the gods on intricately painted walls, while simultaneously showcasing the earliest human inhabitants of the region. The adventure continues up the Nile River, the lifeblood of the ancient world, portraying the vibrant ecosystems that flourished along its banks.

Building the Pyramids

As attendees move deeper into the exhibit, they will witness the monumental construction of the pyramids—one of the greatest architectural feats in human history. Blocks are skillfully stacked, forming the eternal tombs of the pharaohs, under the watchful gaze of the iconic Sphinx. This immersive visual spectacle draws participants into the heart of a civilization that continues to pique human curiosity and admiration.

Education Meets Engagement

Beyond the stunning visuals, the exhibition includes an educational curriculum designed to complement traditional classroom instruction, aligned with Florida state standards. This resource is tailored for students in grades 3 through 12, incorporating lessons from science, art, mathematics, social studies, and language arts, thereby instilling a deeper understanding of ancient cultures.

An interactive digital platform will accompany the exhibit, featuring a comprehensive website about Ancient Egyptian history as well as a unique digital series exploring connections between ancient Egypt and South Florida. Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage in a chat experience with Hatshepsut, one of the most prominent female pharaohs in ancient history.

A Collaborative Vision

The production is brought to life under the artistic direction of Virginie Martin from Culturespaces Studio, while the visual design and animation are expertly handled by Cutback. The immersive experience is further enhanced by music supervision and mixing from Start-Rec. Additionally, the exhibition draws on spectacular 3D reconstructions from the Assassin's Creed™ franchise, demonstrating how gaming technology can be leveraged to resurrect historical narratives.

According to Dolores Fernandez Alonso, President and CEO of South Florida PBS, "We are proud to bring this extraordinary exhibition to the South Florida community—an experience that captivates not only with the wonders of Ancient Egypt but also kindles learning and imagination across generations."
