Sioux Honey and Fareway Collaborate to Combat Food Insecurity with Sweet Donations
Sweet Support: Turning Honey into Hope
In a remarkable community initiative, Sioux Honey Co-op and Fareway Stores have united to donate an extensive quantity of honey in a bid to alleviate food insecurity. On September 10, 2025, a massive contribution of 6,480 bottles of Sue Bee® honey was presented to the Food Bank of Iowa. The sheer volume of this donation is staggering; if stacked, the honey bottles would reach a height of 2,916 feet, surpassing the height of two Empire State Buildings combined!
