Japan Women's University (JWU), located in Bunkyo, Tokyo, is set to host an engaging Open Campus event on August 1 (Saturday) and August 2 (Sunday), 2023. The event will feature mock lectures and comprehensive explanations of both the comprehensive selection and public entrance exams across all departments. In particular, the university will showcase exciting initiatives including a talk session and a workshop by the newly established Economics Department, set to open in April 2027.
During this two-day event, prospective students will experience the vibrant atmosphere of student life through various activities such as student presentations, guest appearances by alumni, and reports from overseas training experiences. The event aims to convey the charm of learning at JWU to high school students interested in joining the university.

The Open Campus will take place as follows:
August 1 (Saturday) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Departments: Literature, Economics, Human Sciences, International Culture
August 2 (Sunday) from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Departments: Science, Architectural Design, Home Economics, Food Science
(Note: Registration will close at 2:30 PM each day).

About the Economics Department
The newly established Economics Department will provide students with a comprehensive education that spans from theoretical principles to practical applications in economics and business administration. JWU seeks to equip students with essential skills like entrepreneurship, data analysis, and the ability to design diverse life careers, which are crucial for thriving in modern society. With a compact class size of 99 students per year, the department will offer personalized learning opportunities and practical experiences.
