Shosen Mitsui Museum Celebrates a Milestone
The Shosen Mitsui Museum 'Funeshiru' is gearing up for an exciting event as it marks its first anniversary. From July 10 to September 30, 2026, a special exhibit titled
'Let's Become Seafarers!' will be held, offering a unique opportunity for families to learn about maritime professions.
A Collaborative Effort for Maritime Education
In collaboration with three prestigious maritime vocational schools - Hiroshima Maritime Technical College, Yuge Maritime Technical College, and Oshima Maritime Technical College - the exhibit promises an engaging experience. Visitors will explore the intricacies of ship operations and the roles of crew members through interactive displays and games.
This summer, families are encouraged to visit ‘Funeshiru’ to discover the critical roles within the shipping industry and enjoy hands-on learning about what it means to be a seafarer.
