On June 12, 2023, Palsystem Ibaraki Tochigi, headquartered in Mito City, held its 27th General Meeting at Hotel Lake View Mito, where all five proposed resolutions received overwhelming support from the attendees. The assemblies witnessed participation from 298 out of 306 representatives, with 115 present in person, 282 submitting written votes, and one providing a proxy vote.
Key Resolutions Passed
The approved resolutions encompassed the following:
1. Summary and financial report of business activities for the 2024 fiscal year and the resolution for surplus fund disbursement.
2. Decision on the business activity plan and budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
3. Appointment of directors.
4. Determining the upper limits of director remuneration.
5. Provision of retirement payments to directors.
Despite facing challenges such as rising prices and climate change affecting domestic agricultural and fishery output, Palsystem managed to maintain its user base, leading to record highs in supply volume. The organization announced that its total business revenue reached approximately 18.34 billion yen, marking a 1.0% increase from the previous year and exceeding budget forecasts.
Financial Highlights
Palsystem reported an operational surplus, which is analogous to normal corporate earnings, of 425.85 million yen, reflecting a 1.0% year-on-year increase and a significant 104.0% over budget estimates. Although expenses rose due to inflation, effective cost controls facilitated increased revenues and profits.
Strategic Plans for 2025
As it looks forward to 2025, Palsystem aims to:
1. Increase fan engagement and participation through various business activities.
2. Collaborate with government and other organizations to address societal needs and contribute to local communities.
3. Pursue sound organizational management to ensure sustainable growth and reform the management structure. The budget for 2025 is projected at approximately 18.36 billion yen, matching last year's figures.
During the appointment of board members, 23 directors and 4 auditors were elected. The board meeting that followed the General Meeting re-elected Kyoko Aoki as the representative director and chairperson, while Masaru Chinone took on the role of the new executive director.
