Sumbeshito Waterproof Inc. Celebrates Milestone Achievement
Sumbeshito Waterproof Inc., a subsidiary of the renowned Sumitomo Bakelite Co., Ltd. based in Shinagawa, Tokyo, has reached an impressive milestone with the
DN Solar-FIT® series, marking the shipment of 600,000 units. This innovative series has been praised for revolutionizing the foundation for flat roof solar panel installations, efficiently combining waterproof sheeting with specialized anchors.
Setting New Standards in Waterproofing Technology
The DN Solar-FIT® series stands out in the market due to its unique technology that minimizes construction costs by integrating waterproof sheets directly into the design. Achieving a spot among the industry’s lightest products, this series has made waves since its introduction, experiencing continuous improvements that have positioned it as a top-selling item in the sector, especially within residential applications.
By eliminating the need for foundational construction for solar panel installations, the DN Solar-FIT® significantly reduces initial costs and construction timelines. After waterproofing, the system can be retrofitted, ensuring both innovation and practicality in solar technology deployment.
Contribution to Renewable Energy
The implementation of the DN Solar-FIT® series has significantly contributed to energy production, estimated at
70MW by internal assessments. This output correlates to the capacity of large-scale solar power plants, capable of providing annual electricity to approximately
19,000 to 20,000 households. This achievement represents a substantial step towards promoting renewable energy and diminishing environmental impact.
Using estimates, a
70MW solar facility typically generates around
77,000MWh annually. With an average household consuming about
4MWh per year, this system can provide power for around
2,000 households. The actual numbers can fluctuate based on local weather conditions and the operational status of the facilities.
Lightweight Yet Durable
The DN Solar-FIT® series is not just lightweight; it possesses high durability, facilitating efficient construction and reducing expenses. The positive reception of this product underscores its potential to further accelerate the adoption of solar energy within the construction sector.
