Innovative Carrot Smoothie Ale to Launch from Yona Yona Beer Works

Yona Yona Beer Works Unveils New Craft Beer

Yona Yona Beer Works, the official beer restaurant of Yona Yona Ale, is introducing an exciting new craft beer, "Carrot Smoothie Ale," starting July 27, 2025. This innovative beer blends carrots and sweet potatoes, creating a flavor reminiscent of a vegetable juice, making it perfect for health-conscious consumers.

What is the WORKS Ale Series?

The "WORKS Ale" series is a limited-edition collection from Yona Yona Beer Works, showcasing unique beer styles. This series offers original brews crafted in small batches, inspired by both American beer trends and rarer styles not commonly found in Japan. The upcoming "Carrot Smoothie Ale" is the 41st release in this series, and it's produced in extremely limited quantity, available only at six Yona Yona Beer Works locations in Tokyo.

A Revolutionary Beer Experience

"Carrot Smoothie Ale" embodies an inspiring concept: to fulfill the common dietary gap of vegetable consumption in social settings with the deliciousness of beer. The drink was developed with the idea that enjoying a refreshing beer can also be a way to incorporate vegetables into one’s diet.

Tasting Notes

The beer is crafted from real carrots and sweet potatoes, bringing out a natural sweetness that characterizes its unique profile. The inviting aroma of carrots pairs with fruity hop notes, resulting in a perfectly balanced flavor. Additionally, oats and sweet potatoes contribute to a gentle thickness, offering a smooth mouthfeel that is light and airy. Despite the vegetable origins, the beer also maintains a recognizable bitterness and acidity, delivering a satisfying sip that truly feels like a vegetable smoothie.
