Expanding CHARGESPOT Access Across Tōkyū Electric Railway
In a significant partnership, Tōkyū Electric Railway and INFORICH, the operator of Japan's leading mobile battery sharing service, CHARGESPOT™, announced their plan to install charging stations across 51 railway stations. This initiative aims to cater to the growing demand for reliable charging solutions, especially among commuters and international travelers visiting Japan.
The installation process will kick off from March 23, 2026, initially incorporating 24 stations with a total of 29 charging points. This expansion marks a notable increase from the existing 27 stations, which included key locations such as Daikanyama and Jiyūgakuen. The need for greater access to charging facilities arises from the rise in concerns about mobile battery life during commutes, often exacerbated during peak travel seasons.
