DriveNets Launches Advanced AI Networking Solutions to Meet Growing Demand

DriveNets Expands AI Networking Portfolio with Next-Gen Platforms

DriveNets, renowned for its large-scale networking solutions, recently introduced two innovative platforms: the DriveNets 2600SL and 2601S. These new products are part of a strategic expansion of their AI Fabric portfolio, specifically engineered for high-capacity AI infrastructures that can incorporate vast numbers of XPUs (AI processing units). As the demand for AI capabilities continues to surge, these platforms aim to address the growing need for robust networking solutions in the ever-evolving technology landscape.

Unveiling the New Platforms

The recently launched platforms utilize Broadcom's cutting-edge Tomahawk 6 (TH6) ASIC technology. Offering an impressive total capacity of 102.4Tbps across 64 ports of 1.6Tbps, these networking solutions promise to dominate future AI deployments. Analysts anticipate that by 2027, the vast majority of new AI ports will be deployed using this advanced technology. Scheduled to be shipped in the third quarter of 2026, the DriveNets 2600SL offers liquid-cooled configurations for optimal thermal efficiency, while the 2601S is designed for air-cooled environments, catering to diverse data center needs.

Ido Susan, co-founder and CEO of DriveNets, emphasized the significance of these platforms, stating, "The most expensive idle asset in the world today is an XPU waiting on the network." The innovative solutions are engineered to maximize the effectiveness of large clusters, allowing clients to fully leverage their infrastructure and optimize performance.

Maximizing Performance and Economic Efficiency

What sets these platforms apart is their capacity to support large-scale AI operations effectively. They facilitate scale-up, scale-out, and integrated front-end networking while ensuring high reliability across extensive cluster setups. The flexible radix configurations offer a wide range of options, enabling networks to support thousands of XPUs based on selected connectivity options.

These offerings not only provide high-performance alternatives to single-vendor solutions but also mitigate overall infrastructure costs. The DriveNets AI Fabric portfolio ensures that open, multi-vendor AI clusters can match the performance of single-vendor setups while streamlining expenses.

Additional advancements in the solution cater to token economics, providing full-stack performance optimizations across AI clusters. These enhancements include efficiency in Network Interface Cards (NICs), kernel optimizations, and collective communications library adjustments, meaning fewer platforms are needed to achieve the same output.

Addressing Diverse AI Use Cases

The versatility of DriveNets’ new AI solutions allows them to support a myriad of use cases ranging from training to inference. Customers can include hyperscalers, foundation model developers, and NeoCloud providers, thus ensuring that the technologies meet varied demands across sectors.

Charlie Kawwas, President of Broadcom’s Semiconductor Solutions Group, highlighted the growing importance of network fabrics in AI performance, stating, "As AI systems scale to hundreds of thousands of XPUs, the network fabric has become a critical factor in AI performance and overall economics." This collaboration between DriveNets and Broadcom demonstrates a significant stride towards achieving unprecedented reliability and efficiency in large-scale AI environments.

Powerful Optimization Tools and Services

The software integrated into the new platforms is meticulously optimized to enhance network efficiency from end to end. This includes meticulous tuning across various components, from NICs through to network protocols. The DriveNets AI Cluster Orchestrator aids in managing the cluster lifecycle, providing capabilities for efficient provisioning, benchmarking, and operational management, ensuring rapid deployment with embedded performance validation tools.

DriveNets' Infrastructure Services further includes expert-level support, ensuring that deployments are optimized for performance promptly. The expert team assists with cluster setups while providing advanced software optimizations tailored to each customer's unique requirements.

A New Era for Networking

The latest innovations from DriveNets not only represent a response to present market demands but also mark the emergence of a completely new market space. Alan Weckel, Founder and Technology Analyst at 650 Group, states, "This is no longer an incremental networking opportunity — it's a brand-new market that didn't exist two years ago and is now heading towards a total addressable market of over $100 billion." As Ethernet technology rises to the forefront of AI infrastructures, DriveNets is poised to play a vital role in shaping the future landscape of networking technology.
