The FIVB Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Challenge 2026 reached its exciting conclusion on March 8, 2026, at the Dutee Chand Athletic Stadium of KIIT Deemed to be University in Bhubaneswar, India. Over five days, the tournament brought together an exceptional assembly of beach volleyball talent from across the globe, featuring 83 teams from 52 nations.

The atmosphere on the KIIT campus was electric throughout the event, drawing in numerous spectators who witnessed high-stakes matches and outstanding athletic performances. The tournament provided a platform for both rising stars and established teams, exemplifying the global appeal and competitiveness of beach volleyball.

In the women's final, the U.S. duo of Durish and Koenig faced off against Japan's Shiba and Reika. The American team showcased exceptional coordination and striking power, eventually securing the gold with a final score of 21-18, 21-16. Japan's pair, after a valiant effort, had to settle for the silver medal, demonstrating their skill in a fiercely contested match.

The men’s gold medal match was equally thrilling, featuring Belgium's Vercauteren and Van Langendonck against the Czech Republic's Sepka and Dzavoronok. The Belgian team displayed remarkable composure and technique, capturing the championship with scores of 21-10 and 22-20, while the Czech squad earned the silver after a hard-fought battle.

The closing ceremony gathered dignitaries and participants alike, featuring a warm address from Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS, who is also a significant figure in the development of volleyball in India. Dr. Samanta noted that all 300 players and officials were accommodated on the KIIT campus, where they were pleased with the experience and hospitality provided.

An announcement from His Excellency Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, the Governor of Odisha, commended the successful execution of the event. A video message from Shri Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya, the honorable Minister of Labor and Employment, congratulated the organizers and participants for their efforts in facilitating this esteemed international competition.
