Envision Energy's TG Pro Wind Turbine Achieves DNV Certification and Reinforces Global Leadership

Envision Energy's TG Pro Wind Turbine Achieves DNV Certification

Envision Energy, a leader in the green technology space, has reached a significant milestone with the receipt of Type Certification from DNV for its innovative TG Pro (EN-206/8.35 60 Hz) wind turbine. This achievement not only highlights the collaboration between Envision and DNV but also underscores the technological sophistication and market readiness of Envision’s next-generation wind turbine.

The certification ceremony took place during WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, where Mette Redanz, Vice President of Renewables Certification at DNV, and Yimin Lou, Senior Vice President and Chief Product Officer at Envision Energy, unveiled the certification. This event emphasizes the importance of independent verification in the ongoing development and enhancement of advanced wind technologies.

Since its introduction in 2024, the TG Pro turbine has garnered numerous orders from both domestic markets in China and international clients. It has undergone rigorous validations, both in prototype form and through commercial testing, to ensure it meets the high standards set by the industry. The turbine merges an optimized aerodynamic design with intelligent control systems aimed at amplifying energy capture and generation efficiency across various wind conditions.

The TG Pro's engineering boasts strengthened components designed for longevity, which equips it to operate effectively even in harsh environmental conditions. The validation process incorporated comprehensive assessments, including digital-twin simulations and multi-site operational trials, solidifying the turbine’s reliability and performance metrics. With the recent DNV certification, stakeholders now have third-party assurance that the TG Pro adheres to requisite certification regulations. In the words of Yimin Lou, "The advancement of our next-generation turbine portfolio is founded on methodical validation and practical applications. The DNV certification signifies the TG Pro's readiness to cater to diverse international markets. As we progress, Envision will persist in developing intelligent, high-efficiency, and reliable turbine technologies for future energy systems."

Independent certification acts as a crucial benchmark for assessing new wind turbine technologies, instilling confidence among manufacturers, developers, and associated stakeholders regarding the operational reliability and compliance of newly developed turbine solutions. Mette Redanz from DNV remarked on the positive implications of this certification, stating, "We are delighted to support Envision through their successful certification of the TG Pro."

In addition to the TG Pro, Envision Energy is displaying its full array of wind turbine solutions at WindEnergy Hamburg 2026, including the EN-156/5.0 MW platform, which has recently obtained a Provisional Type Certificate from Bureau Veritas. This certification was achieved in under five months, providing a robust evaluation of the design and technical aspects of the platform as it advances toward larger-scale commercial use.

The EN-156/5.0 MW turbine is designed specifically for the Asia-Pacific market and is being installed at the Manar Wind Power Project in Sri Lanka. This order marks a significant achievement for Envision as it signifies the company's first utility-scale wind turbine contract in the region. The turbine features a hub height of 110 meters along with specialized anti-corrosion specifications that equip it for demanding coastal environments where high salinity and humidity are prevalent.

This combination of international certification and practical deployment showcases Envision’s commitment to producing reliable and adaptable products suited for varying environmental conditions, reinforcing their presence in Sri Lanka and across the wider Asia-Pacific area.

Overall, both certification milestones reflect Envision Energy’s dedication to rigorous engineering practices, independent validation, and market-oriented product development. By collaborating with renowned global certification organizations and clientele across different regions, Envision continues to drive innovation in wind turbine technology, merging performance, reliability, and flexibility to meet the evolving demands of the worldwide energy landscape.
