Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi Explores Sharjah's Technological Innovations at GITEX 2025

On October 14, 2025, His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, the Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office, visited the Government of Sharjah Pavilion at GITEX Global 2025, which is being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. This year's pavilion gathers 20 government entities under the unifying theme, 'Powered by Tech, Driven by People.' The event stands as a testament to Sharjah's commitment to digital progress and its overarching vision for a sustainable and human-centered future.

During the visit, Sheikh Dr. Salem was presented with a range of innovative digital experiences and technology-driven projects that participating government bodies have devised. These initiatives are designed to enhance digital integration throughout Sharjah, resulting in improved government efficiency and a better quality of life for its residents. The pavilion features four primary ecosystems: Digital Experiences, Environmental Sustainability, Smart Cities, and Our Humanity. Each ecosystem showcases proactive solutions reflecting the synergy between government entities, all powered by data connectivity and artificial intelligence.

Notably, Sheikh Dr. Salem observed the activities at the Sharjah Digital Hackathon, an endeavor launched by the Sharjah Digital Department in collaboration with the Rubu' Qarn Centre for Science and Technology and the Sharjah Youth Council. This initiative aims to foster innovation within Sharjah's community, empowering both youth and governmental talents to cultivate AI-driven solutions that enhance urban infrastructure and streamline government services.

A focal point of the Digital Experiences segment was the Digital Sharjah Assistant, an interactive AI assistant that utilizes text and voice commands for real-time operations. This assistant allows users to access important information and execute select government transactions efficiently, showcasing a seamless operational interface.

Sheikh Dr. Salem also toured the Aqari Platform, a digital integration hub centralizing real estate services across Sharjah. This platform connects various entities through a single gateway, delivering accurate and reliable property data, which significantly enhances the customer experience throughout the emirate.

In addition, the Nabni Platform was another highlight of the visit. This unified system links Sharjah's municipalities to streamline building and construction processes using AI technology.

Furthermore, Sheikh Dr. Salem reviewed Empower Gov AI, a comprehensive AI tool designed to assist public sector staff in leveraging AI in their daily functions. This tool integrates various government entities, automating internal inquiries and managing access permissions—ultimately boosting productivity across departments.

Sheikh Dr. Salem's exploration of these initiatives, coupled with his engagement in the events, showcases Sharjah's forward-thinking approach as it continues to prioritize technology and human-centric solutions in its governance and community planning efforts. The Government of Sharjah Pavilion at GITEX 2025 is a vivid illustration of the emirate's dedication to innovation and its dynamic journey toward a sustainable future, where technology enhances the daily lives of its citizens.
