Asia's 50 Best Restaurants, in collaboration with S.Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, has recently announced an expanded list featuring restaurant rankings from 51 to 100 ahead of the live awards ceremony scheduled in Hong Kong on March 25, 2026. This year's list highlights the impressive gastronomic talents across the Asian continent, with significant insights into the thriving culinary scene.
The 2026 list represents a total of 27 cities, showcasing an increase of four cities from last year, and includes ten new cities. Notably, four cities appear on this list for the very first time: Busan, Chengdu, Kanazawa, and Nishikawa. This expansion reflects the dynamic and varied culinary landscapes evolving across Asia, where vibrant flavors and creative presentations highlight the artistry of regional chefs.
Among the highlights is Seoul, which stands tall with seven restaurants featured, including the newcomer San at number 54. Meanwhile, Busan takes its place on the list with Fiotto, ranking at number 99, marking its first appearance in this prestigious ranking. Bangkok secures its reputation with five restaurants on the list, while both Singapore and Hong Kong boast four entries each, showcasing their return to the ranking after previous appearances.
Tokyo remains a significant player with three establishments making it to the list, including the debut of Sushi Shunji at number 63. In Kanazawa, there are also two fresh entries: Kataori, ranked at number 82, and Respiración at number 92. Nishikawa adds to the excitement with the entry of Dewaya at number 93, emphasizing the diverse culinary excellence throughout various Japanese cities.
Overall, Chef 1996 in Beijing emerges as the highest-ranked newcomer at number 52, while Chengdu makes its mark with its first entry, Co, claiming the number 69 position. Kuala Lumpur's Dewakan sees significant success as it climbs up the rankings, achieving a remarkable leap of 22 spots to land at number 62.
