The Arrival of the Iconic Jackson American Series Rhoads Models

On September 18, 2025, Jackson®, an esteemed electric guitar and bass brand under Fender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC), will officially launch the latest additions to its iconic American Series: the American Series Rhoads RR24 and RR24 HT. This introduction is bound to excite enthusiasts and guitarists alike!

The distinctive sharp design of the Rhoads model was born from the collaboration between the late guitar genius Randy Rhoads and Grover Jackson, the founder of the Jackson brand, back in 1980. This configuration epitomized Randy's pursuit for ultimate performance, featuring USA-made Seymour Duncan® JB and '59 humbucker pickups, a reverse 6-in-line headstock, and the signature offset Rhoads alder body, delivering a bold and fierce tone that continues to inspire players.

Manufactured with precision at Jackson's facility in Corona, California, the American Series Rhoads is built using the finest materials and parts. It boasts a 3-piece maple neck with a through-neck construction and jumbo stainless steel frets on an ebony fingerboard with a 12-16 inch compound radius. This development not only expands the American Series lineup but reinforces Jackson's commitment to providing uncompromising quality for artists striving for exceptional musical performances, following the legacy of the Soloist™ and Virtuoso™ models.

Randy's classic theories and aesthetics merge with the explosive energy of rock, resulting in dramatic guitar solos that have established a prototype for metal guitar playing, continuing to influence generations. This USA-made guitar carries the essential DNA of Rhoads, specifically crafted for ultimate technical play.

John Romanowski, head of product development at Jackson, commented, "The American Series Rhoads was born to bring the legendary shape long sought after by metal guitarists over decades to a new generation. Manufactured in the USA, it is designed for players who demand uncompromising tone and performance."

The American Series Rhoads will be available in two models: the RR24 and the RR24 HT, differentiated primarily by their bridge structures.

The RR24 features a 1500 series Floyd Rose® double-locking tremolo system embedded in the body, ensuring excellent tuning stability even during aggressive whammy bar techniques. It is offered in three vibrant colors: Matte Army Drab, Satin Black, and Snow White.

On the other hand, the RR24 HT is equipped with a Hipshot hardtail bridge that guarantees exceptional tuning stability while simplifying string changes and drop tunings. This model will be available in Snow White and Satin Black.

In a promotional video featuring the signature artists Brandon Ellis and Jeff Loomis, both legends in the metal guitar world, the Rhoads shape continues to inspire guitarists, providing intense tone and uncompromising performance. Both artists leave an indelible mark on the metal scene with their innovative playing styles and remarkable skills.

Brandon Ellis remarked, "This guitar embodies everything that the Jackson name has always stood for. It is built for high-level techniques and speed, with reliability that you can take on tour the moment you pull it out of the box. The rugged USA construction, high-quality specs and hardware, and modern updates make it a standout. My matte finish olive drab model feels and looks amazing!"

Jeff Loomis added, "The American Series Rhoads is an incredible high-performance guitar. It stands out not just for its aggressive look but for playability across the entire neck. It’s been fantastic to collaborate with Jackson again and showcase this guitar with Brandon Ellis."
