Abu Dhabi Culture Summit 2025: A Global Gathering
The highly anticipated Culture Summit Abu Dhabi is set to return for its seventh edition, taking place from April 27 to 29, 2025, at Manarat Al Saadiyat, located in the cultural district of Saadiyat Island. Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), this year’s summit revolves around the theme "Culture for Humanity and Beyond." It promises to be an enriching experience, fostering discussions on how culture can adapt and thrive in our rapidly transforming world.
Purpose of the Summit
This year’s summit aims to explore the ever-evolving relationship between culture and humanity, especially in light of the significant global transformations witnessed in the early 21st century. As we navigate complex challenges and uncertainties, the Culture Summit invites participants to collectively reflect on human emancipation and humanism. The goal is to forge a new consensus to build a more sustainable future through cultural lens.
Across three days packed with debates, creative conversations, case studies, artist talks, and workshops, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with esteemed artists, leaders, scholars, and creatives who will share fresh perspectives on imagining what tomorrow could look like in an era where traditional modes of thinking are becoming outdated.
Sub-Themes of the Summit
The summit will be structured around three main sub-themes, each dedicated to addressing pressing cultural questions:
1.
Remapping the Cultural Landscape: The first day focuses on the impact of the digital revolution, economic inequalities, and geopolitical volatility on cultural identities and societal values. Discussions will delve into how the creative sector can guide humanity through uncertainty toward a confident future.
2.
New Frontiers of a Post-Human Environment: The second day examines how technological advancements in AI, biotechnology, and environmental studies redefine humanity itself. The sessions aim to explore how culture can channel these changes to enhance human experiences, along with how cultural sectors and creative industries can adapt their business models and infrastructure for emerging opportunities.
3.
New Frameworks for Redefining Culture for Humanity and Beyond: The final day will discuss the importance of innovative and collaborative efforts, alongside the rise of "glocal" approaches that promote resilience, inclusion, and sustainability. The conversations will center around how cultural innovation and technology can reshape narratives and create common ground to overcome global polarization.
Global Partnerships
This summit is enhanced by partnerships with notable global organizations, including UNESCO, The Economist Impact, the Design Museum, Google, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation, and the Recording Academy. Other partners include Image Nation Abu Dhabi, the International Federation of Arts Councils and Cultural Agencies, the Cultural Foundation, and more.

As an annual global forum, the Culture Summit Abu Dhabi serves as a vital platform for international leaders in the cultural and creative sectors to explore how culture can transform societies and communities worldwide.
