Introduction

Komorebi, based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, has announced key appointments to its leadership team, which include new directors and advisors. This strategic move is part of the company's commitment to strengthen its management structure and enhance the value it provides to its client companies.

New Board Members

The newly appointed director, Takashi Onozato, brings a wealth of experience to Komorebi. After graduating from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, he specialized in central nervous sciences and chronic pain at Jikei University School of Medicine. Transitioning from medicine to business, Onozato worked in marketing and sales for major domestic internet infrastructure firms. He has also been involved in founding a SaaS vendor and was crucial in launching a consulting firm that focuses on SFA (Sales Force Automation). His recent role was at a prominent HR IT company where he was in charge of talent and recruitment strategies for an organization with over 1,000 employees.

Kenta Matsumoto, the newly appointed Chief Data Officer (CDO) and advisor, also presents a strong profile. He graduated from Ryukoku University and initially engaged in engineering tasks before realizing the importance of data science. After reskilling at Tama Art University’s Graduate School, he has been active in roles involving consumer insights. Matsumoto excels at analyzing diverse data from political, economic, and cultural perspectives and has featured in various media including television, radio, newspapers, and magazines. His publications, which delve into behavioral economics and data science, include titles like "Humans Are Enthralled by Evil" and "Data Science Introductory Guide".

Insights from the New CDO

In a recent statement, Matsumoto expressed his enthusiasm about joining Komorebi: "Since the onset of the big data boom in the 2010s, I have continuously explored the potential of data from both quantitative and qualitative standpoints. Managing and utilizing data will be a pivotal challenge as generative AI becomes increasingly prevalent. I hope to share the expertise I have cultivated over the years through my role at Komorebi as both advisor and CDO."
