This year’s Fuji Rock Festival '25 witnessed an electrifying performance as Pocari Sweat showcased a memorable grand finale of the 'You Are Certainly Someone's Sun' project. Held on July 26, this special stage was executed within STUTS' set, featuring an array of talents including vocalists and dancers.

The highlight of the stage was live rendition of the commercial track, "99 Steps (feat. Kohjiya, Hana Hope)" created by STUTS himself. Alongside him, vocalist Hana Hope and rapper Kohjiya energized the crowd, while two rising teenage dancers, Musashi Haraguchi and STUTS' original picks from the social media dance relay, Soma and HAJIME, delivered a dynamic performance symbolizing the essence of 'relay through sweat'. This stage was not just a culmination of artistic talent but also a celebration of community and shared energy.

About the Sun Relay Project

The 'Pocari Sweat Sun Relay' originated from the commercial released in April 2025, articulating a poignant message about how perspiration can illuminate and inspire those around us. The campaign rapidly gained momentum across social media platforms, racking up more than 2,500 dance video submissions from all over the globe; these videos amassed over 13 million views and sparked over 21,445 respect-filled mentions, commemorating individuals shining like suns in their lives.

STUTS personally selected two dancers, Soma and HAJIME, from the myriad of submissions for their remarkable talent and spirit. They performed alongside Haraguchi in a freestyle session of "99 Steps", captivating the audience attending the festival x event.

STUTS on the Experience

STUTS expressed his emotions about the performance, saying, “It felt like a dream. The heavy rain right before the stage was surprising, but it created a magical atmosphere during our performance, almost making me cry. I’m incredibly grateful to everyone involved.”

He commended the selected dancers, noting their impressive technical abilities and unique vibe, which made collaborating with them a truly rewarding experience.

Musashi Haraguchi Highlights

The young dancer Haraguchi claimed he never expected to perform on such a grand stage. He shared, “Once I started dancing, the excitement took over. Performing live with a band was a different sensation compared to practicing with a track. I hope to inspire others through my dancing in the future.”

Soma and HAJIME’s Reflections

Soma reflected on the unexpected journey leading up to the festival, expressing disbelief at performing in Japan’s largest event. “It was an invaluable experience to perform in front of a large crowd,” she beamed.

HAJIME noted, “I knew there wouldn’t be another opportunity like this, so I wanted to give it my all. It was thrilling to dance with esteemed artists before such a remarkable audience.”

Following the performance, a TV commercial encapsulating the shared journey of sweat and connection was released on July 18, featuring the captivating song performed live during the festival. This commercial, showcasing STUTS and featuring powerful visuals correlating to the sweat-inspired journey, is anticipated to resonate widely through Pocari Sweat's official platforms.
