Denarius Metals Reports Significant Gold Drill Results from Zancudo Project in Colombia
Denarius Metals Corp. has made waves in the mining sector with the latest updates from its Zancudo Project located in Colombia. The company reported outstanding drilling results from the Las Brisas Target, revealing impressive gold mineralization that signals promising potential for resource growth.
The highlights from the most recent drilling campaign include a notable intercept from drill hole ZM-210, which showcased a continuous sample interval of approximately 33 meters, yielding a grade of 5.68 g/t gold. Within this interval, specific sections of the hole exhibited even higher grades, with 20.18 g/t gold over a span of 3.10 meters and 26.35 g/t gold over 2.50 meters. These results affirm the viability of the Santa Catalina structure, which is part of the larger Las Brisas Target area.
Serafino Iacono, the Executive Chairman of Denarius Metals, expressed excitement over these findings, particularly highlighting the high-grade continuity and upside potential of both the Santa Catalina and the Manto Antiguo structures. He noted that the ongoing drilling efforts continue to support the notion that the project could expand significantly in terms of resource estimation.
The 2026 drilling campaign at Zancudo, which aims to complete around 15,100 meters in total, is designed to refine and enhance the understanding of mineralization across various target areas. So far, approximately 2,270 meters have been drilled across 12 holes, focusing on tightening the drill spacing, ultimately aiming for a more accurate resource classification in future updates.
Furthermore, the campaign's results have uncovered additional high-grade gold and silver intervals in several other drill holes, demonstrating that the mineralized zones at Las Brisas are extensive. For example, drill hole ZM-205 intersected an impressive 41.82 g/t gold near the surface, alongside notable silver values.
The Las Brisas Target is characterized as an unexploited block, preserved by the historical mining efforts in the area. The ongoing infill drilling program is meticulously designed with a 50 x 50 meters grid pattern to delineate and confirm the consistency of mineralization across known orebodies, particularly those outlined in previous drilling.
Notably, the Manto Antiguo structure is recognized as a significant contributor of mineralization, with intersecting structures leading to the detection of mineral rich veins and high-grade results. Recent drilling indicates that gold mineralization persists even in the hanging wall of the Santa Catalina, showcasing a wide mineralized zone potentially harvesting further exploration opportunities.
In addition to gold findings, there have been noteworthy silver grades observed in the latest drilling results. For instance, the intercept at ZM-200 indicated 437.8 g/t silver across a short distance. This prominence of gold and silver together reinforces the economic viability of the Zancudo Project and highlights Denarius Metals' focus on resource optimization and mine planning.
As Denarius Metals continues to push the boundaries of exploration in Colombia, its strategic investments in drilling and resource estimation pave the way for potential growth within the mining sector. Stakeholders and investors alike eagerly await further results from this ambitious campaign, which marks a significant chapter in the company's ongoing evolution and commitment to high-grade precious metals production.
