2025 National Public Service Exam: Office Visits for Technical Positions



The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) is excited to announce the commencement of government office visits for candidates who successfully passed the first round of the 2025 National Public Service Exam (degree level). This initiative follows the guidelines established during the Human Resources Directors' conference across various ministries and agencies and is set to begin on July 2, 2025.

Eligible Candidates


To qualify for these office visits, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • - Have passed the first round of the 2025 National Public Service Exam for general positions (degree level).
  • - Be a successful candidate from either the 2023 or 2024 National Public Service Exam for general positions (degree level).

Test Categories


The eligible categories for candidates focusing on technical positions include:
  • - Digital, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Agricultural and Rural Engineering, and Forestry.

For those interested in positions that involve facilities within categories such as architecture, mechanical engineering, or digital/electrical/electronics, please refer to a different announcement regarding office visits for administrative positions that include facility roles.

Entry Process


Entry Period


Candidates wishing to visit for the first time on July 2 should register between:
  • - June 26 (9:00 AM) to July 1 (5:00 PM)
For visits after July 3, registration must occur by 5:00 PM the day before the visit.

Important Notes


  • - No visits will be conducted on July 5 and 6.
  • - Ensure that your reservation aligns with your intended visit date to avoid complications.

Steps to Register


1. Prepare Required Documents: Before the entry period starts, prepare a visitor memo and facial photo data.

2. Submit Your Entry: Complete the registration form online, including your personal information and upload the visitor memo along with the photo data.

3. Confirmation of Entry: You will receive a confirmation email from the Ministry after your entry is accepted.

Visitor Memo Preparation


Download the memo format provided and fill it out completely before including your photo. Ensure to follow the specifications:
  • - Photo format: .jpg or .png
  • - Memo format: PDF (.pdf) and Excel (.xlsx)

Naming guidelines for your files should be as follows:
  • - Visitor Memo: `YourName_VisitorMemo`
  • - Photo: `YourName_Photo`

Important Submission Tips


  • - Make sure to attach the correct photo size (4cm height x 3cm width).
  • - Do not alter the provided Excel format in any way.
  • - Ensure all sections are filled and double-check for any omissions or errors before submission.

Conducting Visits


On the Day of the Visit


  • - Government office visits will be primarily in-person, although online options are available at registration. If needed, use platforms like Zoom or Cisco Webex for virtual meetings, with all related costs being the participants' responsibility.

Dress Code


MEXT promotes a business casual dress code from May forward, allowing for relaxation in formal attire. Candidates are encouraged to also dress casually for their visit.
