Exciting New XR Entertainment Facility Opens in Nagoya This Winter

Huge New XR Entertainment Center Coming to Nagoya

The Tokai region is set to welcome its first large-scale XR (Extended Reality) entertainment facility, "IMMERSIVE JOURNEY Nagoya", scheduled to open its doors on January 23, 2026. Tickets for this innovative experience will go on sale starting December 17, 2025.

What is XR?

XR informs a collective term for various immersive technologies including virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR), all crafted to enhance the way we perceive the world around us.

Ticket Details

Ticket sales will commence at 10:00 AM on December 17, 2025. Pricing is categorized into general and group ticket options:

- General Admission (up to 3 persons): 4,000 yen per person on weekdays, and 5,000 yen on weekends.
- Group Ticket (4 or more persons): 3,800 yen on weekdays, and 4,500 yen on weekends. Note that groups of five or more will be required to split into two to enjoy the experience together.
- Age Requirement: Participants must be 8 years or older.

About IMMERSIVE JOURNEY

"IMMERSIVE JOURNEY" offers a unique XR entertainment experience allowing visitors to freely explore vast environments as though they were traversing through different worlds. Participants wear head-mounted displays, enabling recognition among each other through markers projected on walls and floors.
The venue is designed to host a maximum of 75 visitors simultaneously. This innovative experience breaks the boundaries of time and place, allowing guests to enjoy XR content at an unprecedented scale.
This facility follows the successful launch in Yokohama in 2024 and marks the second installation in Japan, making its debut in the Tokai region.

Grand Opening Content: "Horizon of Khufu"

The opening experience will feature "Horizon of Khufu", an immersive journey set in ancient Egypt 4,500 years ago. This adventure presents an unprecedented view of the King Khufu and the construction of the pyramids, providing insights into spots unheard of until now.
Participants will embark on a thrilling expedition, admiring the vistas from the peak of the pyramids and sailing down the Nile River aboard the mythical "Solar Boat". They'll delve inside the pyramid, uncovering ancient Egyptian rituals, thereby savoring the rich cultural tapestry of Egypt. Previously captivating over 2 million people across 18 cities globally, this will be its second outing in Japan.
Voice actor Ai Fairouz lends her voice to the guide Mona, an Egyptologist within the story, while Miyuki Sawashiro voices the cat goddess Bastet appearing in the pyramids. Join us for this grand adventure of ancient Egypt, met with breathtaking storytelling and exceptional voice talent!
