From Reluctance to Growth: An Entrepreneur's Journey with EO Tokyo Central

In a remarkable interview, Keita Yuki, the CEO of Rahool, opens up about his initial hesitation towards joining the Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) Tokyo Central, a global network exclusively for entrepreneurs whose businesses exceed 100 million yen in revenue. What sparked his change of heart? In a candid discussion with Junpei Kiyamasawa, they delve into the profound impact EO has had on Yuki's professional growth and decision-making process.

The Reluctance to Join EO

When asked about his motivation to join EO, Yuki recalls a time when he was dismissive of such organizations. "Honestly, I wasn't fond of groups or study sessions and I really didn't want to join," he admits with a chuckle. However, upon being questioned by a shareholder about why he had not joined, he realized that his primary excuse—"I don't like to interact with people"—seemed inadequate. Thus, determined not to let fear define his choices, he resolved to embrace the community made up of like-minded entrepreneurs.

The Turning Point: MY EO and the SaaS Workshop

Once a member, Yuki took some time to adjust. Initially, he attended only a couple of gatherings. However, everything changed when he participated in the MY EO initiative—a member-driven community that included a pivotal SaaS study group.

"When I joined, everyone was still private companies, but within a few years, half of the members achieved IPOs or mergers and acquisitions. The knowledge I gained directly contributed to tangible business success, which was invaluable, " Yuki reflects on this transformative experience.

The Impact on Decision-Making

Yuki emphasizes that the most significant value he gained from EO was the elimination of uncertainty in decision-making. "Knowing that fellow entrepreneurs have traversed similar paths gave me the confidence to decide quickly and act decisively," he explains. Thanks to these insights, Rahool has consistently witnessed annual growth exceeding 30%.

Continued Growth and Support

As EO Tokyo Central looks toward the future, it remains committed to fostering an environment where entrepreneurs can candidly share experiences and learn from one another. Yuki, now an advocate of the community, continues to emphasize the importance of psychological safety in ensuring that members can freely discuss their challenges without judgment. He believes that this open dialogue not only supports individual growth but also accelerates collective advancement within the group.
