Altair Partners with Auburn University on $1.25 Million AFWERX Contract for Vortex Rocket Engine Advancement

Dr. Joe Majdalani, who leads Auburn's engineering team, expresses excitement about this capability, stating that the potential for swift results will drastically transform the study and development of future vortex engine technologies.

The AFWERX initiative seeks to leverage innovative ideas from small businesses and startups to mitigate pressing challenges faced by the Department of the Air Force. Since its inception, AFWERX has successfully executed over 6,200 contracts amounting to an impressive $4.7 billion, aiming to bolster the U.S. defense industrial base while accelerating the transition of technology to operational levels.
