NIKI Hills Winery's Flagship Wine HATSUYUKI Now Served on JAL First Class

NIKI Hills Winery's HATSUYUKI on JAL First Class

NIKI Hills Winery, operated by the DAC Group in Niki Town, Hokkaido, has launched its flagship wine HATSUYUKI aboard Japan Airlines' international first class. This exclusive offering will be available on all international routes from September to November 2026.

Travelers will enjoy this exceptional wine paired with top-tier in-flight meals, showcasing the rich terroir of Niki Town, which is known for its fertile land and exceptional produce.

A Taste of HATSUYUKI

The 2024 vintage of HATSUYUKI, a white wine made from 100% Kerner grapes, captures the essence of the region. With notes reminiscent of poached pears, apples, and a refreshing herbal scent, it delights the palate with a luscious sweetness balanced by crisp acidity. The finish is marked by a pleasant bitterness that leaves a lasting impression.

Due to overwhelming demand, the 2024 vintage has already sold out. However, fans of NIKI Hills Winery can still purchase their latest offering—the HATSUYUKI 2025—available at their official e-commerce site and winery shop. This new vintage boasts a drier and more refined profile compared to its predecessor, with reduced residual sugar and a fragrant bouquet of acacia buds and fresh herbs. The flavor profile includes crisp green apple and ripe peach, harmonizing beautifully with the wine's characteristic vibrant acidity, evocative of Hokkaido's landscape.
