Landmark Credit Union Surpasses Fundraising Goals for Children's Wisconsin, Raising Over $66,000

In a remarkable display of community spirit, Landmark Credit Union has achieved outstanding success in its annual Chain of Hearts campaign, raising an impressive total of $66,207.60. This fundraising initiative, held from January 29 to February 21, 2026, aims to support Children's Wisconsin, a recognized Children's Miracle Network Hospital dedicated to enhancing children's healthcare. The funds generated from this campaign will significantly contribute to ongoing research and treatment programs for children facing serious health challenges.

During the campaign, community members were invited to purchase paper links for $1 and decorative hearts for $10, with every dollar going directly to help children's health and wellbeing. The vibrant paper links and hearts adorned the branches of Landmark Credit Union, creating a powerful visual representation of generosity and unity under the philosophy of ‘people helping people’ that Landmark embraces.

Tim Mackay, the president and CEO of Landmark Credit Union, expressed pride in the campaign's results, emphasizing the importance of giving back to the community. "Giving back to the communities we serve has always been central to who we are at Landmark. The continued success of our Chain of Hearts campaign reflects the generosity of our members and our shared commitment to supporting Children's Wisconsin, an organization that makes a monumental impact on the lives of children and families in our community," Mackay stated.

Personal stories from the community highlight the dedication to the cause. Nick Hudzinski, a mortgage loan officer at Landmark Credit Union, shared a touching account of his personal connection to Children's Wisconsin, recounting the exceptional care his son received. Hudzinski expressed gratitude towards the support from both the community and the Landmark team, saying, "Children's Wisconsin means so much to me, both personally and professionally. I am truly blown away by the community's ongoing support."

A special event to celebrate the campaign's success was held at Landmark's Corporate Office. During the event, Hudzinski humorously followed through on a fundraising challenge where he allowed Mackay to shave the sides of his head. To commemorate the occasion, a representative from Children's Wisconsin sprayed Hudzinski's hair blue, symbolizing the colors of both the hospital and the credit union.

As part of the ongoing efforts to support Children’s Wisconsin, community members are encouraged to participate in the upcoming Milwaukee Admirals charity game slated for March 1. For every ticket sold, $3 will directly benefit Children's Wisconsin. Landmark will present a check to representatives from the hospital during the game, formally sharing the campaign's achievement with the community.

Landmark Credit Union, established in 1933, operates as a not-for-profit financial cooperative, dedicated to providing exceptional service to its over 400,000 members. With more than $7 billion in total assets across 35 branches, Landmark Credit Union continues to focus on delivering value while making significant contributions to community health and wellbeing, as demonstrated through initiatives like the Chain of Hearts campaign.
